The DCEAF project presented at the Interdisciplinary Nursing Research Symposium

ASCAPE’s Open Call project DCEAF, implemented by HSE, was presented at the Interdisciplinary Nursing Research Symposium held on 2-4 December 2022 in Karpenisi, Greece.

At the round table “Improving the Quality of Life of Cancer Patients Using Artificial Intelligence: Present Status, Clinical Studies and Future Applications” both the project’s technical and clinical aspects and approaches were discussed in the session “Introducing Digital Technologies Into Clinical Studies: Familiarisation of Clinical Staff With Artificial Intelligence Technologies to Support Cancer Patients During and After Treatment“.

The digital technologies developed and deployed were presented with emphasis on the potential provided by the integrated AI components to provide predictions and insights to clinicians on cancer patients quality of life issues.

As the project’s clinical studies are conducted at the General Oncology Hospital of Kifissia “Agioi Anargyroi“, the hospital’s research team presented their experience in using AI-based ICT tools to collect and manage quality of life indicators for cancer patients and the active role of nursing stuff in the study.
